Format and rules
Bracket Style Tournament
1 Chase Battle per Bracket.
4 categories:
- Youth Individual (1 person)
- Youth Team (3 persons)
- Adult Individual (1 person)
- Adult Team (3 persons)
Scoring
Tag Points
Tag Points are earned when the Chaser tags (touch any part of the opposing player) the Evader within the 20s
OR if the Evader goes out of bounds.
Evade Points
Evasion Points are earned when the Evader avoids getting tagged by the Chaser for the full 20s
OR if the Chaser goes out of bounds.
How to win
Winner of the bracket is decided by the following order
- Number of Evade points
- Number of Tag points
- Lowest total Tag time (Time taken to tag the Evader)
Conduct
Chase Battle: Head-to-head, 1 vs 1
- 20 seconds on the clock
- 2 players in the field, “Chaser” and “Evader”
- Coinflip decides which player is Evader
Individual: 4 rounds will be played, each player will play as both Chaser and Evader twice.
Team (3 persons): 6 rounds will be played.
Evader who earns an Evade Point will continue playing the next round as an Evader.
Chaser who earns a Tag Point will continue playing the next round as an Evader.
Alternative formats
These formats may be used in the event of insufficient participants or surplus of participants for certain stage(s) of the tournament.
Heats
- Every player within the heats will play 1 round against each other as both Chaser and Evader
- Spots in the Tournament bracket will be filled according to score ranking of all players
King of the hill
- This may be used when there is an odd number of finalists and a 3-way battle is needed
- First player/team to get 3 Evade Points in a row will be crowned
- Evade Points reset to 0 upon getting Tagged.
- Tag Points will not be used in tally
- Besides the above, standard Chase Battle rules apply

You will receive a confirmation email that includes your entry ticket. Do read up on the details of the programme on this webpage so that you are well-prepared to participate.
No. We require all participants to register for themselves. As we need the consent of each participant via their own / their parent or guardian’s signature, and we want ensure that we have all participants’ important information in case of any emergency.
The age range for participants is 7 to 35 years old.
We will look at the birth year of the participant. Take the current year (2022) and subtract their birth year, and the result is the age.
For example, if they are born in 2011, we will consider them to be 11 years old (2022 – 2011).
In this case, they can, for example, take part in an activity within the “7 to 14 year old” segment.
